Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Java Full Stack Engineer with strong experience in Spark and Scrum methodologies. This is a long-term, onsite position located in River woods, IL. The role requires candidates to be local to the area, and an in-person interview is mandatory. The engineer will be working on Disputes Improvement and Modernization projects within the payments domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain full-stack Java applications using Java 17/21.
- Implement and optimize data processing using Apache Spark.
- Build and manage microservices using Spring Boot.
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud using Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering and problem-solving issues.
- Contribute to the modernization of payment systems, specifically focusing on disputes.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience as a Java Full Stack Engineer.
- Strong background in Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency in Java 17 or Java 21.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark for data processing.
- Experience with AWS Cloud Native technologies.
- Expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Strong experience in developing Spring Boot Microservices.
- Excellent engineering and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the Payments domain is required.
- Experience working on Disputes Improvement and Modernization projects.

Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
