Position Summary: Java Lead (AWS Cloud)
We are seeking a visionary Java Lead to spearhead our development efforts in Charlotte, NC. This is a high-impact leadership role designed for a technical expert who excels in architecting scalable, cloud-native solutions within the AWS ecosystem. As the financial services industry continues its rapid digital transformation into 2026, we require a leader who can navigate the complexities of high-concurrency systems, event-driven architectures, and rigorous security standards. Core Leadership and Technical Responsibilities
- Architectural Design: Lead the design and deployment of RESTful and event-driven APIs, leveraging the full power of AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, and ECS/EKS.
- Team Mentorship: Guide and grow a diverse team of onshore and offshore developers, fostering a culture of excellence, code quality, and continuous improvement.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform to ensure consistent and repeatable environment deployments.
- Security and Compliance: Enforce industry-leading security practices for API development, focusing on OAuth, JWT, and data encryption at rest and in transit.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune system performance, ensuring that our microservices architecture can scale to meet the demands of a global financial user base.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Product Owners and Enterprise Architects to align technical roadmaps with business objectives.
Technical Excellence in a Modern Stack
The ideal candidate will possess a deep mastery of the Java ecosystem, complemented by proficiency in Python and Node.js. We are looking for a Lead who is not afraid to get into the code, performing rigorous code reviews and setting the standard for unit and integration testing. Your experience with DynamoDB, OpenSearch, and S3 will be critical as we manage massive datasets and provide real-time analytics to our clients. A strong understanding of containerization through Docker and Kubernetes is essential, as we continue to migrate our legacy workloads into modern, orchestrated environments. You will be the primary driver of our CI/CD maturity, ensuring that our pipelines are automated, secure, and efficient.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)
