Position Summary
DCONINC (Damian Consulting, Inc.) is seeking a visionary Java Lead or Architect to drive the technical direction of our enterprise-scale applications. This is a high-impact role requiring a minimum of 12 years of experience in software engineering and architecture. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in Java, Microservices, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), capable of leading complex projects from conception to deployment. We offer the flexibility of an onsite role in Georgia or a hybrid arrangement in California, allowing you to work with a global team of innovators.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of scalable, resilient Java-based microservices.
- Integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning capabilities into our software ecosystem to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic technical leadership and mentorship to senior developers and engineering teams.
- Define and implement architectural standards, best practices, and design patterns across the organization.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical roadmaps.
- Oversee the migration of legacy systems to modern, cloud-native architectures.
- Conduct high-level code reviews and ensure the highest standards of software quality and security.
- Drive innovation by evaluating and adopting emerging technologies and frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of professional experience in Java development and software architecture.
- Deep expertise in Microservice Architecture and distributed systems design.
- Proven experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its practical application in enterprise software.
- Strong background in Spring Boot, Hibernate, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional technical projects.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $235,000 per year
