Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Java Solution Architect for a high-impact, 100% onsite role in Las Vegas, NV. This position requires a visionary leader who can bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution. As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for defining the technology strategy for specific business domains, ensuring that all solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with the broader enterprise architecture. This is a critical role that demands 15+ years of industry experience and a deep mastery of the Java ecosystem, microservices, and cloud-native design patterns.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and articulate a comprehensive technology vision and strategy for assigned solutions or business domains.
- Conduct holistic solution analysis, design, and planning to ensure successful development and execution of business strategies.
- Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between IT departments and business stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and alignment.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other Architects to shape product roadmaps and prioritize feature delivery.
- Present complex technical proposals and architectural designs to both technical teams and non-technical executive audiences.
- Lead Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives to evaluate emerging technologies and determine their suitability for the organization.
- Provide technical leadership to development teams during implementation, translating high-level business needs into actionable technical specifications.
- Coordinate with Data Architects to ensure optimal table design and data modeling, providing necessary contract documentation for data teams.
- Promote software re-use and inner-sourcing opportunities across multiple projects and global teams.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, driving their adoption to maintain a competitive edge.
- Uphold and promote company core values: excellence, ownership, collaboration, and integrity.
Technical Requirements
- Mandatory 15+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture.
- 5-7 years of dedicated Solution Architecture experience, including the creation of high-level design documents and domain decomposition.
- Expertise in Microservices design, specifically REST-based API architecture and implementation.
- Deep experience with AGILE and Lean development methodologies in a global environment.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native architecture.
- Proficiency with containerization tools such as RedHat OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong mastery of Java and Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
- Significant experience with Kafka message queues and event-driven architectures.
- Solid understanding of DevOps processes and CI/CD toolchains.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $80 per year
