Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Java Systems Analyst / Technical Consultant for a 100% onsite position in Tallahassee, FL. This role requires a deep understanding of systems analysis, Java development, and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience and possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform systems analysis and consulting for enterprise IT projects.
- Gather, analyze, and document requirements effectively.
- Conduct defect analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution for complex issues.
- Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Develop and maintain applications using Java 8+ and J2EE technologies.
- Work with Java frameworks such as Spring, Struts, JSF, and PrimeFaces.
- Utilize JBOSS (7+) for application deployment and management.
- Manage and interact with databases like Oracle, MS SQL Server, and MySQL.
- Develop stored procedures, triggers, and views.
- Utilize version control tools (Git, SVN, CVS) and build tools (Maven, Ant).
- Employ performance tools like JProfiler and VisualVM.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines is essential.
- Integrate systems using Web Services.
- Create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Conduct performance testing using tools like Silk Performer.
- Debug, test, and validate applications thoroughly.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Over 10 years of experience in Systems Analysis & Consulting.
- Strong experience with Java 8+ and J2EE technologies (Servlets, JSP, EJB, JPA/Hibernate, XML, Web Services).
- Experience with Java frameworks (Spring, Struts, JSF, PrimeFaces).
- Hands-on experience with JBOSS (7+).
- Strong experience with databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL).
- Experience with stored procedures, triggers, and views.
- Proficiency in version control tools (Git, SVN, CVS) and build tools (Maven, Ant).
- Experience with performance tools (JProfiler, VisualVM).
- Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience integrating systems using Web Services.
- Experience creating test plans and test cases.
- Performance testing experience (e.g., Silk Performer).
- Experience in debugging, testing, and validating applications.
- Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Unix scripting.
- Familiarity with JUnit, log4j, slf4j.
- Experience with Spring Framework (Core, AOP, Webflow).
- Experience with MS Project & MS Visio.
