Job Description:
Seeking a Java Tech Lead with extensive experience in the credit card domain, specifically with the TSYS platform. This role requires hands-on leadership in delivering projects related to card processing, account management, and related financial operations. The ideal candidate will guide Java/tech teams, ensuring functional clarity and adherence to best practices in card integrations and batch processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Java development teams.
- Lead the delivery of projects on the TSYS platform, covering product setup, account lifecycle, plan/fee/interest, disputes/chargebacks, statementing, batch cycles, and settlement/recon.
- Ensure strong understanding and application of card integrations and ISO message flows.
- Manage batch/file processing and operational processes within the credit card domain.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Document technical designs, solutions, and processes.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project updates.
Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years in software engineering with recent hands-on leadership delivering cards/TSYS projects.
- Strong knowledge of the Cards (issuer) domain.
- TSYS platform exposure (e.g., TS) including product setup, account lifecycle, plan/fee/interest, disputes/chargebacks, statementing, batch cycles, and settlement/recon.
- Proficiency in Java 8/11+, Spring Boot, Spring Data/Security, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Experience with SQL and relational DB design/performance tuning.
- Proven experience as a Domain Lead, Project Lead, or Functional Lead in cards platforms.
- Strong understanding of card integrations, ISO message flows, batch/file processing, and operational processes.
- Ability to guide Java/tech teams with functional clarity (tech background helpful but not primary).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- Must be a local candidate with Credit card domain experience in the recent 3-5 years.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $170,000 per year
