Role Overview
Qualis 1 Inc is seeking a highly experienced Java Tech Lead for a critical onsite engagement in Omaha, Nebraska. This role requires a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the Information Technology sector, specifically focusing on enterprise-grade Java applications and cloud architecture. As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for driving the technical direction of the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet the complex needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable Java-based microservices and enterprise applications.
- Architect cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, and RDS.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical specifications.
- Ensure code quality through rigorous code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to best practices.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from conceptualization to deployment and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
Technical Environment
The successful candidate will work within a modern technology stack centered around Java and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and microservices architecture is essential. You will be expected to leverage AWS for deployment, scaling, and monitoring, ensuring that the infrastructure is resilient and cost-effective. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes is highly desirable to support our agile delivery model.

We are looking for a leader who possesses a deep understanding of software engineering principles and has a proven track record of delivering large-scale IT projects. With at least 15 years in the industry, you should demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical landscapes. This position is onsite in Omaha, requiring a professional who thrives in a collaborative, face-to-face environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
