Role Overview
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer with a specialized focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for a critical, long-term hybrid engagement based in New York City. This position is designed for a technical leader with over 10 years of professional experience in software engineering, specifically within high-concurrency and low-latency environments. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise-grade Java applications, from initial architectural design to deployment and continuous optimization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud-native principles and a proven track record of delivering robust, scalable solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance Java applications, ensuring high availability and low latency for mission-critical services.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while strictly adhering to established coding standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure superior code quality and facilitate knowledge sharing across the development team.
- Identify and resolve complex performance bottlenecks and bugs within existing application frameworks.
- Lead the integration efforts with Adobe Pass v2, enhancing identity management and authentication workflows.
- Architect and implement secure authorization mechanisms using OAuth and JWT token-based protocols.
- Manage containerization and orchestration strategies using Docker and Kubernetes to ensure seamless deployment across environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Java development with a focus on object-oriented programming.
- Extensive expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including GKE, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.
- Strong proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and collaborative tools.
- Knowledge of Adobe Pass v2 is highly desirable and considered a significant advantage for this role.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)
