Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Jira Data Center System Administrator to manage our enterprise-level Jira Data Center environment. This role requires a deep understanding of Jira administration, including both Data Center and Cloud versions, with a focus on migration and integration. You will be responsible for troubleshooting technical challenges, ensuring system performance, and collaborating with various teams to provide seamless Jira services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Jira Data Center at an enterprise scale (5+ years experience).
  • Administer and maintain Jira Cloud (2+ years experience).
  • Execute Jira Cloud preparation and migration projects.
  • Address both front-end and back-end technical issues in the enterprise data center environment.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Perform RedHat Linux system administration and scripting.
  • Utilize proficiency in Java, scripting languages, Oracle, and SQL databases.
  • Work with Atlassian products, GitHub, and orchestration tools.
  • Integrate various tools with Jira at an enterprise level, including GitHub.
  • Provide excellent customer support, communicating complex technical initiatives to both technical and non-technical users.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of Jira Data Center system administration experience at an enterprise level.
  • 2+ years of Jira Cloud system administration experience at an enterprise level.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira Cloud preparation and migration.
  • Accountability for technical challenges in an enterprise data center environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with RedHat Linux system administration and programming.
  • Fluency with Java, scripting languages, Oracle, and SQL databases.
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian products, GitHub, and orchestration tools.
  • Experience with enterprise-level tool integrations, such as Jira and GitHub.
  • Customer support mindset with the ability to communicate complex engineering initiatives effectively.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)

Location: San Jose, CA
