Role Overview
Vyze Inc is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Junior Backend Java Developer for a specialized onsite role in Richardson, TX. This position is uniquely tailored for candidates who have previously worked at Goldman Sachs, bringing a deep understanding of high-stakes financial technology environments. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the server-side logic of our client’s core applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality backend services using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features within a fast-paced financial services context.
- Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability, particularly in high-throughput environments.
- Maintain code quality through rigorous unit testing, integration testing, and participation in peer code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in production and non-production environments.
- Work closely with database administrators to design efficient schemas and optimize SQL queries.
- Ensure the security and data protection of financial applications by following industry best practices.
Technical Requirements
- Proven experience as a Java Developer with a strong focus on backend systems.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of version control systems, specifically Git.
- Previous experience working within the Goldman Sachs ecosystem is a mandatory requirement for this specific placement.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $85,000 – $115,000 per year
