Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer with AI and ML exposure to work on modern data pipelines and AI-driven solutions. This role is ideal for candidates who want to grow at the intersection of Data Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. You will gain hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on developing and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines, supporting AI/ML and LLM-based solutions, and working with GCP services like BigQuery. This is a contract position based in Alpharetta, GA.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Work with structured and unstructured data for analytics and AI use cases.
- Support development and integration of AI/ML and LLM-based solutions.
- Work with GCP services, especially BigQuery.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data processing.
- Assist in data preparation and feature engineering.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and AI teams.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance optimization.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, ML, and LLMs.
Required Skills
- 2-5 years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Analytics / AI.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Good understanding of SQL.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes.
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with BigQuery.
- Basic understanding of Machine Learning and AI concepts.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with LangChain / LangGraph.
- Exposure to LlamaIndex.
- Understanding of OpenAI APIs or similar LLM platforms.
- Knowledge of Vector Databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.).
- Understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
- Knowledge of Airflow or other orchestration tools.
- Exposure to MLOps / LLMOps concepts.
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Understanding of cloud-based data architectures.
