Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Kafka Admin to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and managing Kafka-based data pipelines, working with other big data technologies, and ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our Kafka infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of hands-on experience with Kafka administration and a strong understanding of big data ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and managing Kafka-based data pipelines.
- Working with other big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Storm.
- Monitoring and optimizing Kafka clusters for performance and stability.
- Troubleshooting and resolving Kafka-related issues.
- Performing 3rd level administrator support for Kafka infrastructure.
- Maintaining the availability, performance, and security of Kafka infrastructure.
- Creating and managing Kafka topics, producers, and consumers.
- Developing Python-based Kafka consumers and producers to enable efficient data processing with other systems.
- Handling customer queries and providing support.
- Ensuring support availability during agreed business hours and rotational service guard periods (24/7).
- Developing and maintaining automation for Kafka infrastructure.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4-7 years of hands-on Kafka Admin experience.
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Storm.
- Proficiency in monitoring and optimizing Kafka clusters.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Kafka infrastructure.
- Experience in performing 3rd level administrator support.
- Knowledge of maintaining availability, performance, and security of Kafka infrastructure.
- Experience creating and managing Kafka topics, producers, and consumers.
- Experience with Python for developing Kafka consumers and producers.
- Experience in handling customer queries and providing support.
- Familiarity with automation for Kafka infrastructure.
