Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kubernetes/Network Function Deployment Engineer to join our dynamic team. This critical role will focus on the buildout and rebuild of 5G core network elements, with a primary emphasis on SMPCF, and secondary priorities in AMPCF and SCP. The ideal candidate will possess strong Kubernetes expertise and a proven track record of deploying telco-grade network functions (CNFs) in production environments. This is a remote position requiring a candidate with genuine, hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute full-blown Kubernetes cluster deployments.
- Deploy and rebuild SMPCF sets on updated software using Kubernetes.
- Support the deployment of AMPCF and SCP functions.
- Assist in the process of tearing down legacy network sets and migrating to new, modern architectures.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including integration and field support specialists, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensure the timely delivery of all build milestones and project deliverables.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all deployments and configurations.
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
- Deep understanding of 5G core network architecture and 3GPP call flow functions, specifically SMPCF, AMPCF, and SCP.
- Familiarity with Cloud-Native Network Function (CNF) deployment, orchestration, and scaling methodologies.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues across network, platform, and orchestration layers.
- Experience working in agile, fast-paced, and milestone-driven project environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Oracle technologies.
- Previous experience with legacy-to-CNF migrations.
