Role Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Lead AI Platform & Automation Engineer to own and scale our enterprise AI platform capabilities. This role will serve as the primary owner of the IBM watsonx platform and Google Cloud Vertex AI platform, while providing support to Azure. The goal is to drive adoption, standardization, automation, and governance across the organization.
The role also includes leading a team responsible for day-to-day AI model and application onboarding, pipeline automation, DevSecOps integration, BI tooling, and AI governance, including the maintenance of IBM watsonx.governance and Vertex AI.
This is a high-impact position suited for a technically strong leader who can lead a technical team, architect solutions, scale platforms, and align multiple teams across engineering, data science, and business domains.
Mandatory Skills:
- Lead the team in Platform and Pipelines Automation (Data Pipelines, AI / Model Training Pipelines, Deploying Applications, Models Automation through CICD, IaC (Vertex AI, Azure, IBM watsonX)).
- Provide templates for application automation.
- Experience with Agentic AI pipelines.
- Experience with Governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and scale enterprise AI platform capabilities.
- Serve as the primary owner for IBM watsonx and Google Cloud Vertex AI platforms.
- Provide support for Azure AI initiatives.
- Drive adoption, standardization, automation, and governance of AI platforms.
- Lead a team responsible for AI model and application onboarding.
- Oversee pipeline automation and DevSecOps integration.
- Manage BI tooling and AI governance.
- Maintain IBM watsonx.governance and Vertex AI.
- Architect solutions and scale platforms.
- Align multiple teams across engineering, data science, and business domains.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in leading AI platform and automation initiatives.
- Strong technical expertise in AI/ML pipelines, CICD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Hands-on experience with cloud AI platforms such as Google Cloud Vertex AI, Azure AI, and IBM watsonx.
- Experience in implementing AI governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and architect complex solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
