Position Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Citrix, Networking, and Open Systems to support critical applications within the commercial credit domain. This onsite role in Cincinnati, OH, requires a technical leader capable of managing complex incident resolutions and delivering a superior end-user experience. You will be responsible for guiding support operations and ensuring the stability of a diverse infrastructure stack including Linux/Unix and Windows environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Tier 3 escalation point for high-priority incidents involving Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops, network services, and Linux/Unix systems.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts and implement long-term preventative measures to enhance system reliability.
  • Administer and optimize Citrix environments, including CVAD, Workspace, Provisioning Services (PVS), Director, and Studio.
  • Manage Citrix ADC (NetScaler) policies, SSL certificate lifecycles, and load balancing configurations.
  • Perform capacity planning, image management, and session performance tuning to ensure optimal application delivery.
  • Oversee Linux/Unix system administration, including package management, shell scripting (Bash/Python), and log analysis.
  • Collaborate with network teams on infrastructure changes, monitoring enhancements, and resilience testing.
  • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline repetitive support workflows and operational tasks.
  • Implement and refine monitoring and observability solutions using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, and SiteScope.
  • Define and track SLIs/SLOs for key services, driving performance baselines and capacity models.
  • Manage ITIL-based processes for Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management within ServiceNow.
  • Partner with security teams for vulnerability remediation, patching, MFA/SSO integration, and compliance audits (ISO/SOC/HIPAA).

Required Technical Skills

  • 6-8 years of practical experience in platform engineering or infrastructure support.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops and Citrix ADC/NetScaler.
  • Strong networking foundation: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, and packet analysis.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
  • Experience with application databases (Oracle, MS-SQL, DB2) including query design and table maintenance.
  • Familiarity with messaging and file transfer protocols such as MQ, FTP, SCP, and Sterling.
  • Knowledge of cloud fundamentals (Azure/AWS), SSO/MFA, and Zero Trust security concepts is a plus.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $130,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
