Job Description: Lead Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on backend and data engineering, with end-to-end data pipeline experience being a primary requirement. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and solutions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Backend / Data Engineering (Primary Focus): Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and data warehousing solutions.
  • End-to-End Data Pipeline Experience: Manage the entire lifecycle of data pipelines from ingestion to consumption.
  • Strong SQL / Data Warehousing Concepts: Apply deep knowledge of SQL and data warehousing principles to build efficient and scalable data models.

Data Platform / Engineering Stack:

  • Databricks: Experience with Databricks for data processing and analytics (current/future platform).
  • EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse): Design and implement solutions within an Enterprise Data Warehouse environment.
  • DataStage (ETL): Utilize DataStage for Extract, Transform, and Load processes.
  • SQL-based Data Warehouse: Expertise in building and managing data warehouses using SQL.

Skill Expectations:

  • Lead-level / Architect Mindset: Ability to think strategically and architect complex data solutions.
  • Design and Own End-to-End Solutions: Take ownership of the complete data solution lifecycle.
  • Full-Stack Data Capability: Possess strong data engineering skills with an understanding of BI/Analytics.
  • Strong Backend > BI (Priority on Engineering): The primary focus is on data engineering excellence, with secondary consideration for BI and analytics capabilities.

Nice to Have (Secondary):

  • Tableau: Experience with Tableau for data visualization.
  • SSAS Cubes: Familiarity with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) Cubes.
  • Other Reporting/BI Tools: Exposure to various reporting and business intelligence tools.

Additional Information:

  • This is an onsite role, 5 days a week.
  • The role is for a long-term duration.
  • Rate: $70/hr. on C2C All Inclusive.
  • Locals Only.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $145,600 – $166,400 per year (Estimated)
