Position Summary
iTech US Inc is looking for a visionary Lead DevOps professional to spearhead our infrastructure and automation initiatives for a major client project based in Tampa, FL. This is a long-term contract opportunity (12+ months) that offers the flexibility of remote work, provided the candidate maintains residency within the state of Florida. As a Lead, you will be the primary architect of our CI/CD pipelines and containerization strategies, ensuring that our development teams can deploy code with speed, security, and reliability.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement within the DevOps environment.
- Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process from integration to deployment.
- Oversee containerization efforts using Docker and Kubernetes, including the management of scaling, spinning up, and spinning down virtual environments as needed.
- Act as the primary technical interface with client stakeholders, providing regular updates, status reports, and strategic recommendations.
- Partner with clients to build long-term infrastructure roadmaps and detailed implementation plans that align with their digital transformation goals.
- Develop and maintain complex scripts using languages such as Python, Java, Bash, Perl, or PowerShell to automate repetitive tasks and enhance system efficiency.
- Enforce security best practices across the entire DevOps lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
Required Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 6 years specifically focused on leading DevOps teams and environments.
- Expert-level knowledge of CI/CD tools and methodologies.
- Deep hands-on experience with container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes and Docker.
- Proven ability to manage virtualized environments and cloud infrastructure at scale.
- Strong scripting capabilities in Python, Java, or Bash are a must.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in designing DevOps practices from the ground up for large-scale enterprise applications.
Remote Policy and Location
While this role is designated as remote, it is a strict requirement that the candidate resides in Florida. Compensation & Location
Salary: $150,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
