Job Title: Lead eCommerce Software Engineer (Backfill)

We are seeking a Lead eCommerce Software Engineer with strong full-stack experience to lead development teams while remaining hands-on. The ideal candidate will have experience in a product-based environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering scalable eCommerce solutions. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position requiring local candidates only.

Role Overview:

  • Lead and mentor development teams across frontend and backend projects.
  • Work closely with product managers, QA teams, and architects.
  • Take ownership of product delivery and technical decision-making.
  • Jump into coding when required to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ensure best practices in design, development, and deployment.
  • Guide teams in Agile/Scrum processes and organizational workflows.
  • Stay updated with modern technology trends, including AI integrations in eCommerce.
  • Support collaboration between multiple teams and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor development teams across frontend and backend projects.
  • Collaborate with product managers, QA teams, and architects.
  • Take ownership of product delivery and technical decision-making.
  • Provide hands-on coding support for complex technical issues.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in design, development, and deployment.
  • Guide teams through Agile/Scrum methodologies and organizational workflows.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technology trends, including AI in eCommerce.
  • Facilitate collaboration across multiple teams and projects.

Experience Required:

  • 8-10 years of hands-on technical experience.
  • 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • At least 3-4 years in a Lead capacity.
  • Proven experience working in eCommerce platforms.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams (QA, Product, Architecture, etc.).

Technical Skills Required:

  • Frontend: Strong experience with React.js, component creation/modification, state management, and modern design patterns.
  • Backend: Strong experience in Java (Spring / Spring Boot) and hands-on experience in Node.js.
  • Candidate must be strong in both frontend and backend (Full Stack).

Additional Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with JSP / Struts.
  • Knowledge of modern industry trends (AI, automation in eCommerce).
