Job Title: Lead Mainframe Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mainframe Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IBM mainframes, Cobol, IMS DB, DB2, and JCL. This role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications, as well as providing support and troubleshooting for system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, and maintain mainframe applications.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to ensure application quality.
- Conduct peer reviews of code and technical documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations to resolve application failures and system issues.
- Assist in research and issue resolution for business data processing.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with respective support teams to resolve software and hardware issues.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in mainframe development.

Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in Mainframe Application Development.
- Experience with development background only; no production support profiles.
- Strong testing experience (unit, integration, contract).

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
- Good working knowledge of Spring Boot and Git is a plus.
Location:
Onsite positions available in Indianapolis, IN; Plano, TX; Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; and Seattle, WA. Preference for candidates in Indianapolis, IN or Plano, TX.

Contract
Rate:
Up to $55/hr on C2C.
