Job Title: Lead Salesforce SME
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Salesforce SME to join our team. The role involves end-to-end ownership of Jira tickets, hands-on development, advanced administration, and functional analysis. The ideal candidate will work directly with business users to gather requirements, translate them into user stories, and ensure stakeholder alignment. This is an onsite contract position requiring strong communication skills and a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Jira Ticket Ownership & Delivery: Own assigned Jira tickets from analysis and estimation through development, testing, and deployment. Troubleshoot production issues and deliver timely fixes. Identify enhancement opportunities from recurring support requests.
- Hands-On Salesforce Development: Build and enhance Apex classes, triggers, test classes, and Lightning Web Components. Develop scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with Salesforce best practices. Support integration-related work (APIs, middleware coordination).
- Advanced Salesforce Administration: Perform complex configurations including Flows, Permission Sets, Validation Rules, Page Layouts, Assignment Rules, and Approval Processes. Manage data operations (data loads, cleansing, deduplication). Maintain system security, user access, and metadata hygiene.
- Functional Analysis & Business Interaction: Work directly with business users to gather requirements and translate them into clear user stories. Conduct demos, support UAT, and ensure stakeholder alignment. Serve as the onsite Salesforce subject-matter expert for day-to-day needs.
- Process Excellence: Provide guidance on Salesforce best practices and solution design. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and standards.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of Salesforce experience across development and administration.
- Strong hands-on skills in Apex, LWC, SOQL, and Flow Builder.
- Excellent understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and platform capabilities.
- Experience working in Agile environments with Jira.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
- Salesforce certifications (Admin, Platform Developer I/II) are a plus.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
