Role Overview: Lead Technical Analyst
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Technical Analyst for a critical 6-month contract engagement. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution. As a Lead Technical Analyst, you will not be a primary developer, but you must possess a deep, fundamental understanding of codebases to effectively communicate with engineering teams and stakeholders. The primary focus of this project involves navigating hundreds of legacy programs and facilitating a strategic migration to Oracle environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between Business Analysts, Engineering, and Development teams to ensure project alignment.
- Perform deep-dive analysis between existing codebases, project scope, and design changes across multiple integrated systems.
- Document comprehensive technical requirements, complex workflows, and system enhancements for the development lifecycle.
- Translate high-level business requirements into actionable technical work packages for the engineering team.
- Support production releases and manage change control processes to ensure system stability.
- Lead incident and defect triage efforts, identifying root causes and coordinating resolution strategies.
- Maintain consistent and clear communication with all project stakeholders regarding progress and technical hurdles.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in technical analysis or systems engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL Scripting and complex Data Analysis.
- Strong background in Unix/Linux shell scripting for automation and system management.
- Proven ability to perform cross-language code reviews to understand logic without necessarily being the primary coder.
- Experience with Oracle migrations and legacy system modernization is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Delfi is considered a significant advantage for this specific project.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $170,000 – $220,000 per year
