About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Test Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on Medical Device Software Automation. This is a hybrid role, requiring 4 days onsite in the Minneapolis, MN area and 1 day remote. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulated industries and a proven track record in leading test automation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, providing technical guidance and oversight.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Python and Pytest.
- Ensure software quality through comprehensive validation and verification processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins.
- Manage test cases, defect tracking, and reporting using Jira and Jama.
- Utilize Git-based workflows for version control and collaboration.
- Explore and integrate AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, to enhance efficiency.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of reusable test libraries and automation scripts.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards within the medical device sector.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional experience in software testing.
- 3+ years in a test leadership role.
- Proven background in regulated industries (medical device, automotive, or defense).
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and Pytest for automation development.
- Strong understanding of validation, verification, and traceability practices.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD integration.
- Experience with Jira and Jama for Test Management.
- Proficiency in Git-based workflows.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
- Demonstrated success in creating and maintaining automation frameworks and reusable test libraries.
- Must be local to the MN area.
- USC/GC candidates only.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to embedded systems testing.
- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Familiarity with distributed engineering teams or multi-site development.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
