Position Summary: Lead Testing Analyst (State of Michigan)
Sita Consulting Services LLC (SCS Tech) is seeking a dedicated Lead Testing Analyst for a long-term hybrid engagement with the State of Michigan in Lansing. This is a high-level leadership role requiring a candidate who is currently local to Michigan and possesses a valid Michigan Driver’s License. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire quality assurance lifecycle for critical public health projects, ensuring that all software deliverables meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Estimation: Prepare comprehensive testing estimates for large-scale projects and ongoing maintenance activities. You will create strategic test planning documents based on complex user stories and business requirements.
- Quality Oversight: Review and analyze design deliverables to ensure they are testable and adhere to state standards. You will provide regular status updates to management regarding the quality of project deliverables and recommend best practices for continuous improvement.
- Defect Management: Record, track, and manage defects to closure using DevOps tools. You will lead daily stand-ups to provide updates on defect status and testing progress.
- Automation Leadership: Prepare automated test plans and create scripts using tools like Provar, Selenium, or Smartbear. You will be responsible for maintaining these scripts and ensuring they are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Participate in project team meetings and retrospectives, ensuring that testing resources are aligned with the project schedule and budget. You will also guide and mentor junior testing team members.
- Specialized Testing: Execute functional testing, systems integration testing (SIT), and load testing. You will also be responsible for setting up application authentication and authorization for load testing environments.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Over 8 years of experience leading QA testing teams, with a strong preference for experience within the Public Health domain.
- UAT Coordination: Over 8 years of experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for complex enterprise support projects.
- Defect Prioritization: Over 5 years of experience managing defect logs and prioritizing resolutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Tool Proficiency: Over 5 years of experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools for test case management, and 3+ years with automated tools like Provar.
- Mentorship: Proven track record of guiding and providing feedback to testing teams to improve overall quality standards.
Mandatory Requirements
Candidates must be local to Michigan and live within a 60-minute commute of Lansing. Proof of a Michigan Driver’s License is required at the time of application. The interview process will include a mandatory in-person component in Lansing. This role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring regular onsite presence.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
