Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Linux/Unix System Administrator to provide essential technical administration and production support for our Linux/Unix infrastructure environments. This role is crucial for ensuring system reliability, availability, and performance through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical administration and production support for Linux/Unix infrastructure environments.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular health checks to ensure system reliability and availability.
- Perform hardware and software maintenance, including patching, configuration updates, and system upgrades.
- Manage and troubleshoot production incidents, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Configure and maintain enterprise infrastructure services supporting critical business applications.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours and weekend support as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise infrastructure operations.
- Contribute to improving operational processes by identifying opportunities to automate manual tasks.
- Assist in developing or maintaining automation workflows and scripts to improve system efficiency.
- Document procedures, configurations, and operational processes.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in Linux/Unix system administration.
- Hands-on experience supporting production environments and infrastructure operations.
- Experience with system monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve system issues within complex environments.
- Experience working within Agile or iterative IT operations environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Red Hat Linux or similar enterprise Linux distributions.
- Familiarity with automation and scripting, particularly Python.
- Experience contributing to automation initiatives or process improvements.
- Exposure to infrastructure management tools and utilities.
- Understanding of production support operations and risk management practices.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
