Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Linux Systems Engineer with at least 3-5 years of experience managing enterprise RedHat Unix/Linux solutions, preferably in large-scale environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, etc.) and deep knowledge of supporting RHEL 8 & 9. This role involves hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware), computer hardware maintenance, and a commitment to excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage enterprise RedHat Unix/Linux solutions, focusing on large-scale environments.
- Develop and maintain strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, and other relevant languages.
- Provide deep knowledge and experience supporting RHEL 8 & 9.
- Configure and manage LDAP services.
- Support and manage virtualization environments, specifically VMware.
- Perform hands-on computer hardware maintenance.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the systems engineering domain.
- Utilize RedHat Kickstart and configuration management tools (Puppet preferred) for automation.
- Automate systems services and tasks to streamline operations and ensure consistency.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting to solve complex problems.
- Support servers in cloud environments (preferred).
- Communicate effectively through verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Apply strong decision-making, prioritization, and negotiation skills.
- Take ownership and accountability for the environment managed.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Linux systems administration and engineering.
- Proven experience with enterprise-level RedHat environments.
- Strong understanding of scripting and automation.
- Experience with virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to lift 50lbs.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
Location: Boise, ID
