Position Summary
Veridian Tech Solutions is looking for a seasoned Test Automation Engineer with specialized expertise in Banking and Payments systems. This is a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC, requiring local candidates who can participate in in-person interviews and collaborate on-site. You will be responsible for driving quality engineering across high-throughput payment flows, including Wires, SWIFT, and FedNow.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and service-level testing using Java, C#, or TypeScript.
- Implement robust test data management strategies and parallel execution models to ensure high-speed CI/CD integration.
- Validate end-to-end payment journeys, covering initiation, routing, posting, and reconciliation processes.
- Perform deep-dive validation of message schemas including ISO 20022 (pain.001, pacs.008) and SWIFT MX mapping.
- Build and execute non-functional test suites for performance, resilience, and chaos testing to ensure system stability under load.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins with strict quality gating policies.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement synthetic monitoring and observability post-deployment using tools like Grafana and Splunk.
Required Technical Skills
- 7-10 years of experience in software test automation with a minimum of 5 years in the banking or payments domain.
- Expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, and Postman.
- Strong understanding of real-time payment rails (RTP, FedNow, Chips) and asynchronous event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) for data validation and synthetic data generation.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and regulatory compliance standards in the financial sector.
- Experience with message validation for complex XML and JSON schemas.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $205,000 per year (Estimated)
