Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled z/OS Systems Programmer with strong experience in IBM mainframe environments, specializing in OPS/MVS automation and REXX scripting. The ideal candidate will work on maintaining, enhancing, and supporting complex z/OS systems for enterprise operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and support z/OS operating system components.
  • Develop and optimize REXX scripts for automation and operational efficiency.
  • Administer and enhance OPS/MVS automation rules, processes, and integrations.
  • Support IPL activities, system recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to automation, system logs, RACF, JES2, SDSF, VTAM, TCP/IP, and other z/OS tools.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (Storage, Security, Batch Operations, DB2, CICS, Network).
  • Provide documentation, incident resolution, and 24×7 support (as needed).
  • Participate in upgrades, patching, and modernization initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience as a z/OS Systems Programmer.
  • Max 15 years candidate is required
  • Strong experience in IBM mainframe environments.
  • Specialization in OPS/MVS automation.
  • Proficiency in REXX scripting.
  • Experience with z/OS operating system components.
  • Familiarity with system recovery and performance tuning.
  • Troubleshooting skills for automation, system logs, RACF, JES2, SDSF, VTAM, TCP/IP.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to provide documentation and incident resolution.
  • Willingness to provide 24×7 support as needed.
  • Experience in upgrades, patching, and modernization initiatives.

  • Must have LinkedIn profile.
  • USC and GC visa holders are preferred.

Special Requirements

Visa: USC and GC. LinkedIn Must. Max 15 years candidate is required.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)
