Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with a strong background in mainframe technologies. The role requires a minimum of 12 years of experience and is based in New York City, NY. This is an onsite position, and local candidates are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications.
- Write and debug COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe programming languages.
- Perform system analysis and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12+ years of experience in mainframe development.
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
- Experience with mainframe utilities and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
