Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Engineer with extensive experience in CA TPX Session Management and CA SOLVE to join our team. This role is crucial for supporting and maintaining our enterprise z/OS environments. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of mainframe systems, including session management, automation, troubleshooting, and providing essential production support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support and maintenance for enterprise z/OS environments.
  • Manage and configure CA TPX Session Management to ensure secure and efficient user access.
  • Utilize CA SOLVE for z/OS to enhance system monitoring, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform troubleshooting of complex mainframe issues to minimize downtime and ensure system stability.
  • Conduct regular system checks and proactive maintenance to prevent potential problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mainframe operations with broader IT strategies.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Stay updated with the latest mainframe technologies and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with CA TPX Session Management.
  • In-depth knowledge of CA SOLVE for z/OS.
  • Strong understanding of z/OS operating systems and mainframe architecture.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex mainframe issues.
  • Familiarity with mainframe security and access control mechanisms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
