Role Overview: Manhattan LMS Consultant

We are looking for a seasoned Manhattan Labor Management System (LMS) Consultant to provide specialized ad hoc and on-call support. This role is ideal for a subject matter expert who thrives in a troubleshooting and advisory capacity. You will be the primary point of contact for resolving complex functional and technical issues following a Manhattan LMS implementation. This position is primarily remote, though it requires the flexibility to provide onsite support if specific operational needs arise. As an on-call consultant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring system integrity and operational alignment for our warehouse management processes. Your expertise will be critical in stabilizing the environment and optimizing labor productivity across the enterprise.

Core Responsibilities and Technical Support

  • Production Support: Provide on-demand functional and technical support for Manhattan LMS in both production and post-implementation environments. You will be responsible for maintaining system stability and addressing user concerns in real-time.
  • Calculation Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve discrepancies in calculations related to engineered labor standards (ELS). This includes investigating issues with indirect time tracking and performance metrics to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Configuration Validation: Review and validate standard work configurations, task groupings, and the underlying logic of labor standards. You will ensure that the system accurately reflects the physical realities of the warehouse floor.
  • Incentive and Pay Models: Support the troubleshooting and optimization of incentive plans and pay-for-performance models. Your expertise will ensure that productivity reporting is fair, accurate, and aligned with corporate goals.
  • Integration Management: Validate data feeds and complex integrations between the LMS and other enterprise systems, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms, and timekeeping software.
  • System Health Checks: Conduct regular system health checks and provide proactive recommendations for configuration improvements to enhance overall system performance and user efficiency.

Operational Alignment and Advisory

  • Testing and Defect Resolution: Support ongoing testing efforts, manage defect resolution, and perform configuration adjustments as needed to accommodate changing business requirements.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a bridge between operations and IT teams. You will ensure that the outputs generated by the LMS meet the high expectations of operational leadership and provide actionable data for decision-making.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Provide comprehensive documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams. Your goal is to empower the organization to handle routine tasks while you focus on high-level optimization.
  • SLA Compliance: Adhere to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for response times, ensuring that critical issues are addressed promptly to minimize operational downtime.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements that can drive long-term value and reduce the need for manual intervention.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Manhattan LMS Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with Manhattan Associates LMS is mandatory. You should have a deep understanding of the software’s architecture and functional capabilities.
  • Work Measurement: A strong foundation in engineered labor standards and work measurement methodologies is essential for success in this role.
  • Warehouse Operations: Comprehensive functional knowledge of warehouse operations, including inbound receiving, outbound shipping, replenishment, and inventory control processes.
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to interpret complex LMS configuration tables and task definitions. Proficiency in SQL for data validation and deep-dive analysis is highly preferred.
  • Post-Go-Live Support: Proven experience in supporting LMS environments after the initial go-live phase, with a focus on stabilization and optimization.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in an advisory capacity to both technical and non-technical audiences.

This engagement offers the flexibility of an on-call model while allowing you to work with a leading-edge labor management platform. If you are a Manhattan LMS expert looking for a high-impact advisory role, we invite you to share your expertise with our team. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently and deliver results under tight deadlines.
