Job Description: Manhattan WMOS Consultant (Remote)

We are looking for an experienced Manhattan WMOS Consultant with a strong background in Supply Chain Management and Warehouse Management Systems. This is a remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a leading solutions provider.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Understand and analyze business requirements for Manhattan Active WMS (MAWM).
  • Address issues and manage changes to existing functionalities within MAWM.
  • Build test cases and perform hands-on testing within the system independently.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including Requirements, SOP documents, process flows, functional specifications, and technical designs.
  • Translate user requirements into functional and technical designs.
  • Configure applications and develop testing scenarios.
  • Support the Active WMS application (MAWM) and related functionalities.
  • Support the migration of Legacy WMS DC sites to the new Manhattan Active WMS.
  • Coordinate problem resolution with multiple external vendors for TMS, Packing Conveyor systems, etc.
  • Possess knowledge of integration at a technical level to interface with external systems.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Cloud-based services.
  • Focus on Core IT experience, not experience as a warehouse manager or end-user.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into system configurations and solutions.
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of the WMS.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on Manhattan Active WMS best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex WMS issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of WMS with other systems.
  • Document all aspects of the system, including user requirements, process flows, functional specifications, technical designs, application configurations, and test scenarios.
  • Support the implementation and rollout of new WMS features and functionalities.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in WMS technology and industry trends.
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise and solutions.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure data integrity and security within the WMS.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users.
  • Perform system audits and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in the development of business cases for WMS enhancements.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the supply chain operations through effective WMS management.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong understanding and analysis of business requirements on Manhattan Active WMS (MAWM).
  • Experience in managing issues and changes to existing functionalities.
  • Proficiency in building test cases and hands-on system testing.
  • Expertise in documentation (Requirements, SOPs, process flows, functional specifications, technical designs, application configurations, test scenarios, support documents).
  • Ability to translate user requirements into functional and technical designs.
  • Experience in application configuration and testing scenarios.
  • Support experience with Active WMS application (MAWM).
  • Experience supporting migration of Legacy WMS DC sites to Manhattan Active WMS.
  • Experience coordinating problem solutions with external vendors for TMS, Packing Conveyor systems.
  • Knowledge of integration at a technical level to interface with external systems.
  • Understanding of Cloud-based services.
  • Core IT experience is essential.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in SCM – Warehouse Management.

Desirable Skills:

  • Manhattan WMOS version experience is a plus.
  • Experience with automated DCs is a plus.

Special Requirements

Remote position. C2C employment type. Experience with automated DCs and Manhattan WMOS version is a plus.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
