Job Description:
Core Competencies:
- Power electronics testing and validation
- Lab setup, test execution, and troubleshooting
- Data analysis and reporting
- Component-level and system-level validation for NPI and 2nd source parts
- Collaboration with engineering, lab leads, and component teams
Technical Skill Set:
- Power Electronics Knowledge: IGBTs, GTOs, rectifiers, Inverter assemblies, Sensors and signal conditioning, Bus bars, cold plates, thermal management, Transformers and high power components
- Understanding of electric drives and locomotive/mining power systems
Laboratory Testing Skills:
- Setting up and executing tests in a power electronics laboratory
- Functional, environmental, and reliability testing
- Working with: Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Probes & sensors, Data acquisition systems
- Designing & developing test fixtures, test plans, and procedures.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Test data collection and preprocessing
- Data analysis, trends, and interpretation using: MATLAB, Excel
- Generating test reports with findings and recommendations
- Providing design improvement suggestions based on test outcomes
Software & Tools:
- MATLAB / Simulink (data analysis, modeling a plus)
- Microsoft Excel (advanced data handling)
- Test lab instrumentation software
- Document and configuration management tools

Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
