Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Matlab Simulink Developer with extensive experience in Model-Based Development to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing sophisticated embedded control algorithms for advanced power generation systems. The ideal candidate will be adept at creating Matlab Simulink and Stateflow models from scratch, rather than solely modifying existing ones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow models for embedded control systems.
- Build moderately complex algorithms using Model-Based Design techniques.
- Develop embedded software models for generator set and automatic transfer switch controllers.
- Perform performance simulations using mathematical models and engineering tools.
- Simulate steady-state, dynamic, and transient system operations.
- Support product-level testing and validation activities.
- Prepare design documentation and technical artifacts for review.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support embedded systems development and testing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow modeling.
- Strong experience in Model-Based Development (MBD).
- Solid understanding of embedded control systems and algorithm development.
- Experience with performance simulation and system modeling.
- Familiarity with MathCAD or similar engineering tools.
- Knowledge of electrical systems in power generation environments, including distributed power generation, embedded power systems, centralized generation, and islanded/standalone power systems.
- Experience in product testing, validation, and system integration.
- Strong technical documentation and design review skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is preferred.
Work Setup:
- This is a hybrid work schedule requiring onsite presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at our Shoreview office.
- Some weeks may require full onsite availability (Monday-Friday).
- Candidates should be local to the Minneapolis area or willing to relocate.
- This is a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
Location: Fridley, MN
