Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Matlab Simulink Developer with experience in Stateflow Models to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and creating moderately complex algorithms using model-based design tools, specifically Matlab/Simulink. This role requires the ability to create Matlab Simulink and Stateflow models from written problem descriptions. Candidates whose experience is limited to modifying or fixing existing models may not be suitable for this position.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the underlying principles, techniques, and procedures used in Matlab and Simulink. They will also be responsible for creating appropriate design documentation for review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop algorithms using Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow.
  • Create new Matlab Simulink and Stateflow models based on written specifications.
  • Develop embedded software for generator set and automatic transfer switch controllers.
  • Create appropriate design documentation for review.
  • Utilize experience in performance simulation, including the use of mathematical models and computer-aided engineering/scientific design tools (e.g., Matlab/Simulink, Math CAD) to simulate steady-state, dynamic, and transient operations of embedded controls.
  • Perform product-level testing.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience with Matlab Model Based Development.
  • Capability to design moderately complex algorithms using model-based design tools (Matlab/Simulink).
  • Experience in creating Matlab Simulink and Stateflow models from written problem descriptions.
  • Strong understanding of the principles, techniques, and procedures within Matlab and Simulink.
  • Experience with performance simulation tools and techniques.
  • Experience performing product-level testing.
  • Familiarity with creating embedded software for generator set and automatic transfer switch controllers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the principles of electrical systems in the power generation industry, such as distributed/embedded power generation, conventional centralized power generation, and islanded/standalone power systems.
  • Electrical engineering graduate degree is a plus.
