Role Overview
Sygna Solutions is seeking a highly experienced SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) Developer for a critical onsite role in Calhoun, Georgia. This position requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 12 years of experience in the SAP ecosystem, specifically focusing on master data management and governance frameworks. As a Senior MDG Developer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery of MDG solutions, ensuring that data integrity and governance standards are maintained across the enterprise landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement SAP MDG solutions for various domains including Material (MM), Financial (FI), and Business Partner (BP/Customer/Vendor).
- Develop and enhance custom data models and UI configurations using Floorplan Manager (FPM) and Web Dynpro ABAP.
- Configure and customize Rule-Based Workflows using BRF+ (Business Rule Framework plus) to automate complex approval processes.
- Manage the Data Replication Framework (DRF) to ensure seamless data distribution from MDG to target systems like SAP S/4HANA and non-SAP systems.
- Perform complex data mapping, validation, and conversion activities to support large-scale data migration projects.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical specifications.
- Optimize system performance and provide expert-level troubleshooting for production issues within the MDG environment.
- Lead technical workstreams and provide mentorship to junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices in SAP development.
Technical Requirements
The ideal candidate must possess deep technical expertise in SAP ABAP, Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS), and the SAP MDG framework. Extensive experience with ALE/IDOC, BAPI, and OData services is essential for integration tasks. You should have a proven track record of at least three full-cycle MDG implementations, including hands-on experience with S/4HANA. Knowledge of SAP Fiori and UI5 is highly desirable as organizations move toward modern user interfaces. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, onsite environment are mandatory for success in this role.
Professional Experience
With over 12 years of experience, you are expected to bring a strategic perspective to data governance. This includes understanding the business impact of data quality and the ability to design scalable solutions that grow with the organization. Experience in industries such as manufacturing or retail, which often have complex material and vendor master data requirements, will be a significant advantage. Excellent communication skills are required to bridge the gap between technical execution and business strategy.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
