Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic MDM and Governance Consultant to join our team onsite in Atlanta, GA. This critical role is designed for a professional who can bridge the gap between complex technical data architectures and high-level business strategy. As organizations move toward data-driven decision-making, the need for a robust Master Data Management (MDM) framework has never been more vital. You will be the primary architect of our data integrity, ensuring that our enterprise information is accurate, consistent, and accessible across all business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic design and end-to-end implementation of enterprise-wide Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
  • Develop and enforce robust data governance frameworks, including the definition of data standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish data stewardship models and clear lines of accountability.
  • Architect scalable MDM solutions that harmonize fragmented data sources into a single, unified source of truth.
  • Conduct comprehensive data structure design and modeling initiatives to support evolving business requirements.
  • Manage the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and cleansing to archival and deletion, ensuring regulatory compliance at every stage.
  • Drive organizational change by acting as a data advocate, providing training and mentorship to business users and technical teams.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues through root cause analysis and the implementation of automated validation rules.
  • Partner with IT and business leadership to align data management strategies with overall corporate objectives.
  • Monitor and report on data health metrics, ensuring that the ‘single source of truth’ remains reliable for executive analytics.

Technical Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with leading MDM platforms such as Informatica, Collibra, or SAP Master Data Governance.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling techniques (ER diagrams, dimensional modeling) and database management systems.
  • Proven track record in establishing Data Governance Committees and defining data ownership roles.
  • Experience with data profiling tools and automated data quality monitoring solutions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific compliance standards.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL/ELT processes in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Professional Attributes

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional communication skills, capable of explaining complex data concepts to non-technical executives. You must be a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative, onsite environment. Your ability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus on data standards will be key to your success. We are looking for a visionary who views data not just as rows in a table, but as a strategic asset that powers the future of the enterprise. This contract position offers the opportunity to work on high-visibility projects within a dynamic corporate culture in the heart of Atlanta.
