Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior MDM Engineer to join our enterprise data management team in Raritan, NJ. This role is critical for an organization that relies on high-quality, consistent master data to drive business intelligence, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. As a Senior MDM Engineer with over 10 years of experience, you will be the technical cornerstone for our Informatica MDM ecosystem, responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of master data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Architect, design, and implement enterprise-grade Master Data Management solutions using the Informatica MDM suite. You will be responsible for creating scalable architectures that support multi-domain MDM requirements.
- Data Modeling: Define and maintain complex MDM data models, including the configuration of match/merge rules, survivorship logic, and sophisticated hierarchy management strategies to ensure a ‘Golden Record’ for all master entities.
- Technical Development: Develop and optimize complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, and triggers. You will perform deep-dive database performance tuning to ensure that MDM integrations run at peak efficiency within high-volume environments.
- Data Governance: Design and implement robust data governance frameworks. This includes establishing data quality rules, data stewardship workflows, and comprehensive metadata management processes to maintain the integrity of the MDM hub.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders. You will gather complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and scalable MDM solutions.
- Implementation Leadership: Lead end-to-end MDM implementations, from initial data onboarding and standardization to the final creation and distribution of golden records to downstream systems.
- Integration Patterns: Define and implement modern integration patterns between the MDM hub, upstream source systems, and downstream consumers using REST APIs, ETL processes, or real-time streaming mechanisms.
- Modernization: Support ongoing migration and modernization initiatives, specifically focusing on transitioning legacy on-premise solutions to Informatica IDMC (Intelligent Data Management Cloud).
- Mentorship & Standards: Establish development best practices, coding standards, and reusable frameworks. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and conduct rigorous code reviews.
Technical Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Management, with at least 6 years dedicated to Informatica MDM.
- Expert-level proficiency in Informatica MDM (Hub, IDD, ActiveVOS, Provisioning Tool).
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL and database optimization techniques.
- Proven experience with Informatica IDMC or IICS is highly preferred for cloud modernization projects.
- Strong understanding of Java/J2EE for custom MDM extensions and User Exits.
- Experience in the Life Sciences or Healthcare domain is a significant plus given the Raritan, NJ location.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
