Role Overview

Ascension is seeking a Master Data Management (MDM) Lead/Product Manager to join our Data Delivery and Governance team. Working under the direction of the Product Director, you will drive the program mandate by blending technical expertise with organizational leadership. You will be a champion for high data standards, ensuring that our master data assets are robust, integrated, and aligned with the organizations strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of MDM products and features, from conceptualization and requirements gathering to roadmap execution and release.
  • Strategic Delivery: Drive projects from a product standpoint, including backlog prioritization, use case definition, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of MDM professionals (BAs and POs), setting clear performance expectations and managing resource allocation to ensure timely delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Architecture and Delivery teams to foster empowered product delivery; collaborate with service lines to align product requirements with business needs.
  • Process Improvement: Identify intra-team process enhancements and practice effective communication regarding priorities, high-profile metrics, and project outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster relationships across technology teams and organizational consumers to resolve dependencies, manage risks, and enable go-to-market strategies.
  • Industry Alignment: Maintain a deep understanding of Healthcare industry trends to help craft the future direction of Ascension Data Products.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years in Data Integration/MDM; 4+ years as a Team Lead/Manager; 2+ years as a Product Manager.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in software development, MDM methodologies, and data integration tools/processes.
  • Data Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of requirement gathering, source discovery, data analysis, and familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Agile Mastery: In-depth knowledge of Agile principles; experience using JIRA/Confluence for epic, story, and roadmap management.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams (engineers, designers, testers) and build relationships outside of product development.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal/written skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and present data-informed narratives to leadership.
  • Adaptability: High degree of comfort in fast-paced or ambiguous environments; proven ability to solve complex problems with multiple constraints.

Education

Bachelors or Masters in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field.


Special Requirements

GC/ USC / TN or H1B visa sponsorship available. Passport number is a must.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $95 per year (Estimated)
