Role Overview
We are currently seeking a seasoned and highly proficient MEAN Stack Developer for a critical onsite engagement in Washington. This role is designed for a technical leader with over a decade of experience in the full-stack development lifecycle. As a core member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for the architectural design, implementation, and maintenance of high-performance web applications that serve a massive user base. The project duration is slated for 12+ months, offering a stable and challenging environment for a developer who thrives on solving complex problems using the MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, and Node.js ecosystem. In the evolving landscape of 2026, full-stack proficiency requires not just coding skills but a deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and real-time data processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop end-to-end web applications using the full MEAN stack, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js and Express.js to support complex business logic.
- Create dynamic, responsive, and highly interactive user interfaces using Angular, adhering to modern UI/UX principles and accessibility standards.
- Optimize application performance through efficient database indexing in MongoDB and code-level optimizations in both frontend and backend layers.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers, to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Maintain a high standard of code quality by writing clean, modular, and well-documented code, and conducting thorough peer code reviews.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment and integration of new features and bug fixes.
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to ensure project milestones are met on time.
Technical Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in full-stack software development with a focus on JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Expert-level proficiency in the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js).
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture and the design of distributed systems.
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and modern CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Material UI.
- Proven experience with authentication and authorization protocols such as JWT and OAuth.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git) and automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, onsite team environment in Washington.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $205,000 per year (Estimated)
