About the Role:
The Mechanical Design Specialist is to help the mechanical development of our device. We are looking for a driven and hands-on designer to generate documents and prototypes. This role requires excellence, creativity, and collaboration due to the complex nature of dialysis systems and the medical device regulatory environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and modify CAD models in Solid works
- Generate mechanical drawings with appropriate GD&T
- Create assemblies and maintain bills of materials
- Create engineering change orders
- Prototype and evaluate mechanical designs
- CAD administration including product data management (PDM)
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and company procedures
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Extensive CAD experience – Solid works required
- Familiar with process and data management – PDM/PLM experience required
- Detail oriented, collaborative, and holds high standard of work
Education & Experience:
- Required: Associate degree in engineering or technology
- Minimum 5 years CAD/PDM/PLM design experience
- Preferred: 10+ years experience in mechanical design
- Experience with 3D printing
- Experience in SolidWorks/PDM configuration and administration
- Certified SolidWorks Professional
Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 per year (Estimated)
