Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (NSSS Component Analysis)
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in nuclear components to join our team. This is a remote, contract position for approximately 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform stress analysis using ANSYS in accordance with Section III of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Subsections NB, NG, and/or NF.
- Conduct seismic and dynamic analysis.
- Utilize computer programming skills (e.g., ANSYS APDL, MATLAB, Python) for analysis and simulation.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering, from an ABET-accredited institution.
- A minimum of 10 years of full-time, relevant working experience.
- Extensive experience utilizing ANSYS for stress analysis.
- Must have nuclear background experience.
- Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification.
- Additional experience in seismic/dynamic analysis.
- Proficiency in computer programming languages such as ANSYS APDL, MATLAB, or Python.
This role requires a deep understanding of nuclear industry standards and a proven ability to perform complex engineering analyses. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
