Job Title: MES Solutions Architect

Duration: 6+ months Contract

Location: Fort Worth, TX – with DL

Mode of Interview: Video

Solution Architecture:

  • Conduct fit-gap analysis to evaluate manufacturing requirements against Opcenter standards.
  • Design end-to-end MES solutions that support manufacturing operations, traceability, quality, and compliance.
  • Develop solution blueprints, system architectures, data models, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure solutions align with ISA-95 principles and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Design and build Opcenter customizations with services, rules, events, extensions, and UI components.
  • Develop custom business logic, data structures, and user interactions to support shop-floor needs.
  • Contribute to a common MES codebase to ensure reuse/consistency/maintainability across sites.
  • Architect and implement integrations between Opcenter and ERP (SAP), PLM, SCADA, automation, historians, and other enterprise systems.
  • Design and develop interfaces using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, messaging frameworks, or Opcenter integration frameworks.
  • Support MES deployment activities like configuration, technical testing, validation, and release readiness.
  • Develop and execute technical test scripts and support GxP documentation where applicable.
  • Participate in incident, problem, change, and configuration management processes (ITIL-aligned).
  • Translate business and manufacturing requirements into MES functional and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, IT, OT, and external vendors to ensure solution alignment.
  • Troubleshoot/resolve MES integration/customization issues to maintain production stability.

Skills Needed:

  • Minimum 8-10 years experience working with Siemens Opcenter/Camstar MES solutions.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing MES customizations and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of MES architecture, manufacturing systems, and shop-floor operations.
  • Experience with integration technologies (REST/SOAP APIs, messaging, web services).
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Experience with Opcenter Execution (Discrete, Process, or Medical/Pharma).
  • Experience working in regulated or validated environments (GxP, FDA, ISO).
  • Familiarity with ERP, PLM, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
  • Knowledge of CN MOM/CIO, Solution Configuration/Build with Designer/Portal Studio.
  • Exposure to ITIL processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, IT technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

Compensation & Location

Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Fort Worth, TX
