Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MES Technical Consultant to join our team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This is a critical onsite role requiring a professional with 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). The successful candidate will be responsible for executing MES installation, configuration, and connectivity activities, providing essential support to both site-specific and global teams. You will work closely under the technical guidance of the client technical lead and solution architect to ensure the seamless implementation of technical standards and configuration patterns.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive hands-on MES installation, configuration, and environment preparation.
- Manage connectivity preparation for complex deployments, migrations, and system upgrades.
- Implement technical designs and standards as defined by the solution architecture team.
- Act as the primary day-to-day technical point of contact for site teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Support cross-functional team troubleshooting efforts during the build and validation phases of the project lifecycle.
- Proactively identify technical issues, risks, and potential blockers, escalating them promptly to the technical lead for resolution.
- Create and maintain detailed project-level documentation to ensure accurate handovers to operations or validation teams.
- Collaborate extensively with integration, authoring, and infrastructure teams to ensure end-to-end technical delivery.
- Interface with various technical departments including SAP, IT Security, and Networking to ensure system integrity.
- Work directly with the integration production team and the solution architect to align technical outputs with business goals.
- Independently manage daily, weekly, and monthly status calls with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of professional experience in MES technical consulting or a similar capacity.
- Proven track record of successful MES deployments in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, and IT security protocols within a corporate framework.
- Experience with SAP integration and cross-platform connectivity is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of technical activities and project milestones.
- Excellent documentation skills with a focus on validation and operational handovers.
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with global teams and high-level architects.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
