Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Functional Consultant for a critical 6-month engagement based in New Jersey. This role is designed for a professional who possesses a deep understanding of the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem, specifically focusing on functional support and technical troubleshooting for Great Plains (GP) ERP modules. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring that the ERP system aligns perfectly with the client’s operational goals. As a senior-level consultant with 6-8+ years of experience, you will be expected to provide high-level strategic guidance while remaining hands-on in resolving day-to-day system issues and optimizing performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive functional and technical support for Great Plains ERP modules, ensuring system stability and user satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues in close coordination with onshore and offshore teams to maintain continuous business operations.
- Assist in critical system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes, ensuring minimal disruption to the production environment.
- Ensure strict compliance with client-specific processes and documentation standards, maintaining a high level of audit readiness.
- Design and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports to support client operations and provide actionable business intelligence.
- Support end-users across a spectrum of needs, from basic error resolution to configuring sophisticated new workflows, reports, and integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancement.
- Conduct functional testing and validation for new features or system modifications before deployment.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 6-8 years of professional experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Great Plains ERP support.
- Strong proficiency in SQL Server, including the ability to write complex queries and manage stored procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of financial modules and their integration points within the broader ERP landscape.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a global delivery model, coordinating with diverse teams across different time zones.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating system risks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 or Power Platform are highly desirable.
- Experience in the Finance or Manufacturing sectors, given the focus on Great Plains ERP.
- Familiarity with modern integration tools and APIs used to connect Dynamics 365 with third-party applications.
- A track record of successful ERP implementation or migration projects.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
