Role Overview: Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM & Great Plains ERP Consultant
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Great Plains (GP) ERP Consultant for a long-term contract engagement based in Jersey City, New Jersey. This onsite role is critical for supporting our client’s financial and customer relationship management infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise in both CRM and ERP domains, specifically focusing on the integration and maintenance of Microsoft Great Plains. In the heart of the Jersey City financial district, you will be responsible for ensuring that the core financial systems of a global leader remain operational, secure, and highly optimized for future growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the support and maintenance of Microsoft Great Plains ERP systems, ensuring high availability and performance for financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
- Develop and customize Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM solutions to meet evolving business requirements, including entity modeling, workflow automation, and plugin development.
- Manage complex ERP integration points, ensuring seamless data flow between Great Plains and other enterprise systems, including CRM and third-party financial tools.
- Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize business disruption.
- Utilize advanced SQL skills to develop complex queries, stored procedures, and custom reports for financial auditing and business intelligence.
- Collaborate with global delivery teams and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Oversee system upgrades, patch management, and environment refreshes for both D365 CRM and Great Plains environments.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of development standards and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and data integrity protocols across all integrated platforms.
Technical Qualifications
- Minimum of 6-8 years of professional experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Microsoft Great Plains (GP) ERP.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience specifically in Great Plains ERP support, maintenance, and financial module configuration.
- Proven track record of managing ERP integration projects and understanding the nuances of financial data structures.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL Server, including the ability to write optimized queries and manage large-scale databases.
- Experience working within a Global Delivery Model (GDM) and the ability to coordinate with teams across different time zones.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical business users.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is highly preferred.
Work Environment and Contract Details
This is a long-term contract position requiring the consultant to be onsite in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where accuracy in financial systems is paramount. Compensation & Location
Salary: $135,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
