Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior-to-Mid level ERP Functional Coordinator to support our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance environment within a specialized chemicals manufacturing setting. This is a pivotal business-facing role designed to bridge the gap between technical systems and operational excellence. Unlike traditional technical roles, this position focuses on coordination, user support, and process alignment rather than system configuration or development. The successful candidate will act as a primary liaison between Finance, Operations, and Manufacturing teams, ensuring that the ERP system effectively supports day-to-day business stability and long-term adoption goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings between Finance, Operations, and Manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on ERP usage.
  • Document detailed discussions, track critical action items, and distribute comprehensive summaries to stakeholders, including the CFO.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for functional ERP questions, providing guidance on Dynamics 365 Finance workflows.
  • Support user adoption through the creation of documentation and the delivery of basic training sessions for end-users.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate with leadership to implement functional enhancements.
  • Escalate technical system issues to the appropriate IT or development teams while maintaining ownership of the functional resolution.
  • Monitor data integrity within the GL, AP, AR, and reporting modules to ensure accurate month-end close and budgeting processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance module preferred) or comparable Tier-1 ERP systems.
  • Solid understanding of core finance processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage documentation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to lead meetings and influence stakeholders across different departments.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable, particularly within specialty chemicals or similar sectors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel for data analysis and Teams for collaboration.

Work Environment and Benefits

This position offers a balanced hybrid work schedule, requiring three days onsite at our Burr Ridge, IL facility and two days of remote work. This model allows for direct collaboration with manufacturing leadership while providing the flexibility of a modern workplace. As a contract role with a 6+ month duration, it offers a significant opportunity to gain deep functional experience in a complex manufacturing ERP ecosystem. Candidates must be local to the Illinois area and possess a valid Driver’s License for onsite requirements.

Special Requirements

Visa: No H1B/OPT. Constraints: Local to IL only with DL. Interview Process: Phone and Video. Domain: Specialty chemicals manufacturing.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $95,000 – $135,000 per year (Estimated)
