Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Microsoft .NET Core Developer with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas domain to lead critical modernization initiatives. This is a 100% remote position designed for a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience in the software industry. The successful candidate will support Mainframe Modernization and regulatory application enhancements specifically tailored for the Energy Industry. This role demands a deep understanding of both modern cloud architectures and the complex regulatory landscape of the Oil & Gas sector.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the development and optimization of enterprise-grade applications using .NET Core and C#.
- Architect and implement secure, scalable Web APIs and microservices within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
- Design complex integrations utilizing JSON, Swagger, and MS SQL to bridge legacy systems with modern cloud platforms.
- Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to ensure rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Provide expert-level production support, troubleshooting complex issues in high-stakes energy sector applications.
- Drive legacy re-platforming initiatives, moving traditional mainframe workloads to modern Azure-based environments.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence through rigorous code reviews and architectural guidance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into technical specifications.
Technical Stack and Environment
- Primary Frameworks: .NET Core, C#.
- Cloud Services: Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps.
- Data Management: Azure SQL, MS SQL Server.
- Integration: SOA, REST APIs, Microservices, JSON, Swagger.
- DevOps: Azure DevOps (CI/CD).
- Specialized Tools: Telerik / Kendo UI, GoAnywhere, iText (PDF manipulation).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of total .NET development experience.
- At least 4 years of dedicated .NET Core experience in a collaborative team environment.
- Mandatory: Proven domain expertise within the Oil & Gas / Energy industry.
- Extensive experience with Azure integration and cloud-native development.
- Strong background in production support and system modernization.
- Ability to work effectively in a 100% remote, Agile-like SDLC environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $160,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
