Role Overview
Next Level Business Services INC. is currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Middleware Engineer with a specialized focus on IIS and JBOSS administration. This is a long-term contract opportunity designed for a professional with over 12 years of industry experience. The role is based onsite in either Raleigh, NC, or Phoenix, AZ, and requires a candidate who can provide high-level technical support and administration for complex enterprise middleware environments. As a senior member of the infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the stability, performance, and security of critical integration platforms that power our client’s business operations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Installation and Configuration: Lead the installation, configuration, patching, and maintenance of enterprise middleware technologies including Oracle WebLogic, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, and Internet Information Services (IIS).
- Production Support: Provide comprehensive 24×7 Level 3 production support for critical integration issues, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution of service disruptions.
- Performance Monitoring: Utilize advanced monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, and Splunk to track application performance, server health, and messaging queues, proactively identifying potential bottlenecks.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Perform deep-dive troubleshooting of complex technical issues, including the analysis of thread dumps, heap dumps, connection pooling, and JVM memory leaks to maintain system integrity.
- BizTalk Management: Manage and optimize BizTalk server groups, including the oversight of host instances, adapters, and MessageBox databases to ensure seamless data flow.
- Root Cause Analysis: Identify, analyze, and resolve technical support tickets within established SLAs, performing thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent recurring issues.
- API Integration: Support the integration of Adobe Document Generation API and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) with various enterprise applications, ensuring smooth document processing workflows.
- Security Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to security standards, specifically focusing on SSL/TLS protocols for document processing and data transmission.
- Automation: Develop and implement automation for operational tasks, workflows, and deployments to improve overall efficiency and reduce the risk of manual errors.
Technical Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Middleware Engineering and Administration.
- Expert-level knowledge of IIS, JBOSS, WebLogic, and MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Proven experience with BizTalk server administration and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of JMS Servers, Queues, and Topics within a clustered environment.
- Proficiency in deploying WAR and EAR applications across various targeted servers.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Application and WebLogic domain setup, including Admin and Managed Servers.
- Familiarity with Adobe Document Generation API and AEM integration.

Special Requirements

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $195,000 per year
