Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Medicaid/MMIS Business Analyst to join our team. This is a long-term, contract position with a duration of 3+ years, offering a hybrid work model requiring 2 days onsite per week in Harrisburg, PA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in state government Medicaid/MMIS systems and be adept at requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for Medicaid/MMIS projects.
- Develop comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and functional specifications.
- Facilitate Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
- Conduct Gap Analysis to identify discrepancies between current and future state processes.
- Develop and execute test plans, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to ensure the quality and functionality of the system.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.
- Apply strong knowledge of healthcare standards, with a preference for HIPAA compliance.
- Work closely with development and testing teams to translate requirements into technical designs and test cases.
- Provide ongoing support and subject matter expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in face-to-face interviews to assess suitability for the role.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst specifically within Medicaid and MMIS environments.
- Prior experience working with State Government Medicaid/MMIS systems is mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability in Requirement Gathering and BRD Documentation.
- Experience with JAD Sessions, Gap Analysis, and UAT processes.
- Proficiency in creating Test Plans and Test Cases.
- Strong understanding and application of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with healthcare standards, with HIPAA experience being a significant advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, commuting to Harrisburg, PA, 2 days per week.
- Candidates must be local to the Harrisburg, PA area.
