Position Summary: Senior Mobile Tester
We are looking for a seasoned Mobile Tester with extensive experience in functional digital testing to support a high-profile project at the Starbucks corporate office in Seattle. This role is designed for a quality assurance professional who thrives in fast-paced retail and restaurant environments, specifically focusing on complex transaction flows and mobile application performance. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and security of mobile applications across both iOS and Android platforms, working directly within the client’s ecosystem to deliver a world-class user experience.
Core Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated scripts for web and digital systems.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for mobile applications on iOS and Android.
- Validate critical integrations with payment gateways, inventory management systems, loyalty/rewards programs, and back-office applications.
- Conduct end-to-end transaction testing covering web, cash, credit/debit, mobile wallets, discounts, returns, and voids.
- Utilize debugging tools such as xCode, Logcat, Charles Proxy, and Fiddler to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Log defects in JIRA, track their resolution, and perform rigorous retesting to ensure quality standards are met.
- Support the automation of Point of Sale (POS) test scenarios where applicable to increase testing efficiency.
- Ensure all testing activities align with industry compliance standards and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in functional digital testing.
- Deep understanding of retail or restaurant transaction flows and POS systems.
- Hands-on experience with iOS and Android mobile application testing.
- Proficiency in debugging logs using xCode, Logcat, ADB, and StackTrace.
- Expertise in using HTTP Proxy applications like Charles or Fiddler for network traffic analysis.
- Experience with mobile development tools including Android Studio and Xcode.
- Strong background in test/defect management tools such as JIRA and Testrail.
- Familiarity with SQL queries for backend validation and database testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
Work Environment and 2026 Market Context
This is a hybrid role requiring 3-4 days onsite at the Starbucks office in Seattle, WA. As mobile commerce continues to dominate the retail sector in 2026, your role as a Mobile Tester is vital in maintaining the integrity of digital payment systems and customer loyalty platforms. This long-term contract offers the potential for Contract-to-Hire (CTH), providing a stable career path within a globally recognized brand. Candidates must be local to the PST time zone to accommodate the onsite requirements and immediate project needs.

PST locals only; Onsite 3-4 days at Starbucks office; No visa transfers; 2 rounds of interviews; Long term contract or CTH.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $75 – $95 per year
